My name is Robert, and I have been working out since I was in 8th grade. I have used free weights, machines, my own body weight, and a mixture of all. I can tell you that I use to use more free weights than machines because I thought it gave me a better workout. The reason is because you know what max weight you can go up to without any help or resistance. Therefore, I could stop when I new I was using other muscles to finish my workout. For example, if I am trying to do curls to work my biceps, I want to stand still and just use my bicep muscle, but if it gets to hard you automatically start to drift and use you back just to finish your set.

The machine itself is just over 250 lbs. If you want to move it, that can be difficult. Nonetheless, you can still move it, but I recommend doing this with a friend.

If want to upgrade your resistance from 220lbs to 300lbs, Bowflex will charge you $100. Most of the time you will not need to upgrade that much weight, depending if you’re trying to get ripped or bulky looking. If you are trying to get the bulky look, you should still be able to use the weights that come with it. Bowflex makes their machines for differetnt workout types, so it shouldn’t be a hindrance.

So I rate this workout machine a 10 on a scale of 1-10. It really works, and you will see results when you use it. It has every workout that a man and woman want in a complete gym. If you are a man, and want to get long lean muscle, the revolution has the right resistance and weight to fit you. If you want to get the bigger bulky look, this machine has the right workout for that as well. If you’re a woman and don’t want that to look big, but you want to get that nice sexy body, the revolution is made for you too.

I can tell you that the bowflex revolution is the home gym that I have bought myself. With the right diet, along with doing my normal cardio exercise, using the revolution has been the ultimate muscle builder, without getting the bulky look.
